Come join us July 21-26, 2017 for our Contemplative Retreat
The Jesuit Spiritual Center has a rich history of offering contemplative retreats. These retreats are based on Buddhist mindful practice and the Christian Contemplative awareness of God’s imminent presence within us, among us and around us. All are welcome as we experience varied methods of contemplation.
Our team of facilitators includes Wanda Wetli, CSJ; Dr. Marcus Mescher; Bob Stephan, SJ and Dan Roche. Sr. Wanda offers optional Tai Chi Chih afternoon sessions. Marcus will share two evening presentations on the Good Samaritan. Fr. Bob will preside at Eucharistic liturgies. Meditation periods and instructions on contemplative prayer practice are coordinated by Dan.
This year’s theme on Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan is a timely reminder of the Bible’s exhortation to “welcome the stranger in our midst” and to ponder “who is my neighbor?”
