with Paul Knitter
July 26 - 31, 2019
Join Paul Knitter as you are guided through experiences that deepen your understanding of God, Christ, prayer, life after death and work for peace and justice. Relax and be refreshed in contemplative peace. “In meditation we sit with Christ’s Spirit. Silence is the means of recognizing it, letting it be, opening oneself to it. To sit in silence is for me to sit in awareness of ‘Not I, but Christ.’” – Paul Knitter
Paul Knitter taught theology at Xavier University for 28 years before being named in 2007 the Paul Tillich Professor of Theology, World Religions, and Culture at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He holds a licentiate from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and received his doctorate from Marburg University in Germany. Paul is the author of numerous books and presently lives with his wife, Cathy Cornell, in Madison, Wisconsin.
Dan Roche currently is a spiritual director and mentor for felons. His spiritual formation has been shaped by his stay as a novice at Gethsemani Abbey, nine years as a Jesuit and a year-long Buddhist odyssey in India.
