Stacy Hennessy

Retreat Facilitator

Stacy Hennessy is a native of Louisville, Kentucky.  She has held many roles in ministry and education in the United States and abroad including time spent living at the Catholic Worker House in Boston, serving as Director of Campus Ministry at Iona College in New Rochelle,  New York, and more recently as Pastoral Associate at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Indianapolis.  She is married, has two children, and is currently teaching at Brebeuf Jesuit in Indianapolis. Stacy has collaborated with Fr. Don McNeil, C.S.C. on three books Compassion,  Doing the Truth in Love and Be The Change.  In 2022 Stacy completed the certificate program in Spiritual Direction and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius at the Jesuit Spirituality Center at Milford.

Jess Hirzel

Retreat Facilitator

Jess Hirtzel grew up in rural southwest Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Philosophy, Politics, and the Public program. While at Xavier she fell in love with Ignatian Spirituality, which resulted in the pursuit of a master’s degree from Loyola of Chicago, in the Pastoral Studies program with a focus on Social Justice and Community Development. She has been a campus minister at Clemson University and Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. Jess currently teaches in the Religious Studies Department at Brebeuf Jesuit, in Indianapolis. She is married with two young children, who keep life both busy and beautiful.
