Coming to know our deeper and holy desires, we discover Christ opening our everyday lives more to God’s love and grace, while drawing us towards others with mercy and courage. Through the Spiritual Exercises and contemplative prayer, this retreat calls us to a deeper response to Christ’s call through our past, present, and future. We will discern God’s activity as both abundant in all things and unique to each one of us.
Retreat Director:
Fr. Nathan Wendt, SJ
Fr. Nathan Wendt, SJ is the President of the new Xavier Jesuit Academy in the Bond Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. Born in Cleveland and growing up in a devoutly Catholic Polish American family, Fr. Wendt had considered the priesthood at various times in his life. He entered the Jesuits in 2003 and was ordained a priest is 2014. Holding numerous degrees, Fr. Wendt has served and worked in academic, spiritual, and community engagement programs throughout the Midwest. He has a passion for spiritual direction, ministry to urban youth, and serving as a team member for the Ignatian Spirituality Project retreat ministry for men in recovery from addiction and experiences of homelessness. Fr. Wendt serves on the board of directors for St. Xavier High School, Cincinnati.
