Bill Murphy, SJ

Retreat Director

Fr. Bill Murphy, SJ is a native of East Lansing, Michigan. One of five children, he earned a degree in Economics from DePauw University in 1993 and worked in financial services before joining the Jesuits in 1997. During his formation, Fr. Murphy taught mathematics at St. Xavier High School and returned to St. Xavier as a newly ordained priest before serving as the 25th president of Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland from 2009 to 2015. Fr. Murphy’s current mission is on the Vocations Team of the Midwest Jesuits where he serves men in discernment across 12 states.
