Dede Swinehart

Retreat Facilitator

Dede Swinehart is a wife, mother, grandmother and spiritual director.  She lives in Avon, Indiana, and is a graduate of the Spiritual Direction Internship program, Beech Grove, Indiana. She currently supervises interns for their SDI program. She has been actively involved in the ministry of spiritual direction for over 25 years.  Dede, an Oblate associated with Our Lady of Grace Monastery is a spiritual director for the Jesuit Spiritual Center’s Personally Directed Retreats and has been a part of the Milford Women’s Journey retreat program since 1998.

Sr. Joyce Detzel

Retreat Facilitator

Sr. Joyce Detzel, CDP, is a Sister of Divine Providence from San Antonio, Texas. She serves as Director of Adult Ministry at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford. Her creativity, interest in art and music, degrees in law and theology, and numerous experiences as a religious sister, mother and grandmother, have led to a life-long passion for fostering faith and spiritual growth for individuals and groups in a variety of parish, university, and retreat settings.

Katy Stallings

Retreat Facilitator

Katy Stallings has been involved in retreat ministry for over 20 years. With a psychology degree from Indiana University, she began her ministry as a youth ministry coordinator. In 2008, she completed her spiritual direction courses and is currently a Manager of Volunteer Services for a hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She has worked with the Jesuit Spiritual Center for 11 years as a spiritual director and co-director for the Women’s Journey retreats. In her free time she enjoys cycling, traveling, cooking, and most importantly being an active presence in her nieces’ and nephews’ lives.
