Who am I?  Where am I going? How do I get there?  These are the questions along with their answers that give direction and purpose to our lives. St. Ignatius, through the Spiritual Exercises, proposes a way to help us answer these questions and will encourage us to reflect on God’s perspective for our lives.

Doug Leonhardt, SJ

Retreat Director

Fr. Doug Leonhardt, S.J. is a Milwaukee native. After being ordained a Jesuit priest in 1971, he served as principal of Marquette High School, director of the Jesuit seminary in St. Paul, MN, pastor of Gesu Church in Milwaukee, was assigned to the Jesuit leadership team of the Jesuits’ Wisconsin Province, a geographical region of six Midwest states, and president of Marquette High School. After a sabbatical giving retreats in Kenya and Uganda, he began working at Marquette University as Associate Vice President in the Office of Mission and Minister and later the Jesuit superior of 55 Jesuits at a Jesuit Community for those in Assisted Living. Presently, he works with parents and faculty at Marquette High in spiritual formation and serves as alumni chaplain.
